MORE BARN HUNT WITH NEU-RODES
Neu-Rodes caters to those who like
a ‘well-balanced’ dog, that is titles on
both ends of the name.

It is important to us that our dogs are not only pretty but have work ethic and want to be a co-operative team member in any adventure we choose.

In the first 20 years of the Barn Hunt sport, thousands of dogs titled in all levels.  The sport was originated for vermin hunting dogs, but they allow all breeds (including mix breeds) to compete, and it seems like the Border Collie dominates.  The Rottweiler generally doesn't make the fastest lists, and are certainly not known in the sport as one of the best breeds. The one thing we have noticed is that the Rottweilers good at this sport, do draw crowds for entertaining. Neu-Rodes Rottweilers certainly represent!

In the iirst 20 years of Barn Hunt, there was only 25 RATCH Rottweilers.
In the 6 years we've been participating, Neu-Rodes Rotts have represented very well in this fun sport!
385 Rotts have RATN 30 Neu-Rodes Rotts
185 Rotts earned RATO 18 Neu-Rodes Rotts
88 Rotts earned RATS 13 Neu-Rodes Rotts
40 Rotts earned RATM 5 MASTER Neu-Rodes Rotts
25 Rotts earned RATCH 6 RATCH Neu-Rodes Rotts

We are proud of all the Neu-Rodes teams who participate in this sport!

Start them young, or start them old......
The dogs have to wait in 'blinds' while the judges and wranglers hide the ras.
In Master's, it could be up to 20 minutes waiting with your dog in a small area with other dogs, all excited to find rats!

This is Giddy and I waiting patiently!

Mother (Siesta) and Daughter (Jenga) work on the RATCH together,
getting the title on the same weekend!

Patrick earned his RATOX
and then moved up and suprised us all!!
