HISTORY

"Neu-Rodes" is a fairly new name for two people who merged a lot of history. Neu-Rodes is a name for a Handling and Training partnership as well as a kennel name for a breeding program.

Neu-Rodes: Professional Handlers:

Neu-Rodes shows dogs of all kinds, from all places no matter what the pedigree is, as long as we feel they are a good representative of the breed. (See slideshow for some examples.)

Over the years, Teresa and Thom have finished close to 200 AKC Rottweiler Champions, and some other breeds as well. Since 2000, the start of "Neu-Rodes", Thom and Teresa have finished 62 AKC Champions and 74 CKC Champions, including many with natural tails! We have also titled many of those same dogs in working avenues, as well as winning multiple V-1's at the German style venues. We thank our clients for entrusting us with these quality dogs.

Neu-Rodes: Breeders:

Neu-Rodes is a new name for a breeding program that has been around for many years- almost half of a century! The foundation bitch, first bred in the seventies was CH Kyna vom Odenwald CD (ARC Silver Producer). She is also the grandam of one of America's top producers, "Quick".

At the end of 1998, Thom and his former wife went separate directions. After 25 years of establishing von Siegerhaus Rottweilers, they split up the dogs and began to pursue individual breeding programs.

Teresa, a member of the von Siegerhaus family since 1988,  became a permanent member when von Siegerhaus relocated to Washington in 1993. At this time, Teresa managed the kennels. This included taking care of the dogs, maintaining the kennel,  whelping and raising puppies, showing dogs and all of the obedience and herding training.

Thom and Teresa continue on "Neu-Rodes".
